meet the Medical Director

Dr. Hughes received her undergraduate degree from Princeton University and her medical degree from the University of Virginia. After an internal medicine internship at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, she completed a dermatology residency at Stanford University, where she served as chief resident.

After residency, she joined the Stanford faculty, where she taught for eight years. She has more than 25 years of clinical experience in diverse practice settings, including medically underserved communities, academic practice, multispecialty medical groups, and private practice. She also serves as a medical director for aesthetic practices and as a consulting dermatologist for rural primary care clinics in dermatologically underserved areas.

In her free time, she practices yoga, works on perfecting her bread-baking techniques, and spends time with her family and her rescue dog.
